Moomins!

IF YOU DON'T KNOW AND LOVE THE MOOMINS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU. Luckily enough I am here to educate you... And when I say I, I mean google.

My best friend and I love The Moomins and I forgot how much I like using acrylic paint in manis until my moggy one the other day. I just thought this would be a nice little idea and it would give me a chance to test my terrible drawing skills.

It was really fun and, although not perfect, I think you can actually tell what I'm going for (If you know Moomins) as opposed to just thinking I've just drawn strange hippo people.

Whilst reminiscing about this childhood favourite, I did go to watch an episode on youtube and will admit that it made very little sense to me as a supposed adult. I was clearly much smarter as a child and could understand the inaccurate Swedish translations enough to gauge the story.

For the base colours I alternated Sally Hansen - Green Teaand Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream
For all of the detailing I used acrylic paint and for the finer details I actually used a black gel pen. If you are going to do this, make sure you leave it for as long as you possibly can (even if it seems dry) before applying your topcoat. It tends to smudge a lot so I really try not to use them unless it's for very fine detail. I also take photos now before I apply the final topcoat just in case it smudges... Which it often does because I'm inpatient.

As usual finished with a coat of Seche Vite.

STILL WAITING FOR REQUESTS GUYS. Also I'd love to try a week long challenge or whatever they're called so if you see any you think would be of interest please send to me!

LOVE YOU 5EVA BYE.
